Time to transform into who you were meant to be…
Who are you REALLY? Sometimes I ask that question because I’ve somehow lost my way or tied my identity to things, achievements, and activities – versus purpose, passion, and fulfillment.
Then I look up and wonder, WHO AM I?
We all want to continue to learn and grow into the person we think we can be – but many of us don’t even know how to get started.
Cracking the code to personal fulfillment is friggin hard – but it starts by defining what that is for YOU!
Then, commit to personal development, working on yourself and striving for that 1% better every day.
Still, wondering how to get started? Here are three super simple ways to live your best life that I’ve come across lately and think are worth sharing…
1. Start visualizing who you really want to be
To get to where you want to be, you first have to decide where the heck that is.
What does your ideal self look like?
What makes you truly happy and excited each day?
How can you start incorporating more of this into your daily routine?
By thinking and meditating on these questions, you can start to visualize what your best life looks like, what it entails, and who is in the passenger seat with you.
This creates a road map to help us take the first steps to the life of our dreams… once those seeds are planted into our subconscious, we start to feel and know we’re on the right path.
We can start to envision our best selves through our OWN EYES. Eventually, we start to show up in life as more confident and empowered. We are ready to focus on those things that truly matter and say goodbye to those that don’t.

2. Upgrade your mindset
Our minds are truly powerful if we put in the work – but so many of us just don’t take the time or effort for self-discovery… we settle for a monkey mind that takes our thoughts all over the place. (And usually to more negative talk than positive!)
“Nothing changes, if nothing changes”
If we continue to think and act in the ways we always have, we’ll never see any improvement or find our way to the person we want to be.
To become our best version and live a fulfilled life, we need to start with the right mindset.
And we need to start taking responsibility for our own lives and own actions.
I was listening to a podcast the other day with one of my favorites, Sahil Bloom, and he shared something like this,
“It’s not your fault that you were born into a family that lacked wealth and success, but it is your fault if you let it define you, complain, and don’t do anything about it.”
I said a giant AMEN from the bike trainer after hearing that statement… wow. Truth bomb.
So often, we think we’ve just been dealt this hand, and there’s nothing we can do to change it – so we continue to spend time complaining about it versus taking time to change it!
We’re all guilty. No judgment here!
But think about your mindset today – is it one of growth? Or is it fixed … ? The day you take charge of your life, be proactive, and accept ownership over your circumstances is the day things will start turning around for you.
Take an inventory of your life right now – Do you have any limiting beliefs, habits, behaviors, or actions keeping you stuck?
3. Start being present
I get it; this is easier said than done! I’m a stage 5 multi-tasker with burnout in recovery!
But if we make working to the bone the theme of our life, we’ll eventually break down from the stresses. It’s inevitable. So don’t let busyness suck the soul out of you. Find things that can nourish and feed your deepest desires.
Remember, you’re not a hostage in this life – so don’t hook your wagon to anything that makes you feel like a prisoner.
It’s easy to worry and overthink (guilty!), but dwelling on the ‘what ifs and ‘why nots’ will never make you happy, centered, and focused. Never.
To have a fulfilled and meaningful life starts with staying connected and living in the moment!! Start being present and learning to savor what is right in front of you (Not pondering over what’s next or wondering about decisions from the past!)
As someone who has felt like my life was on hold for several years with chronic illnesses, I can tell you firsthand how being centered in the here and now can help you live in gratitude.
Let’s be honest. None of us have a perfect life – things can get hard (really hard!) sometimes. But taking a moment each day to center and focus on the GOOD can profoundly determine whether you’re becoming your best self. (Or not)
Dust off that journal.
I believe in you.
The Wrap – Start being your best self
Do you like how you’re showing up in your life right now? If you answered no, you’re not alone. I’m on this journey with you! I’m sharing these tips and advice from the middle of my story, I’m not an expert and certainly not putting this out there saying I have my sh*t together because I don’t!
But I think we all can learn, grow and transform together… Cheers to discovering your best self…
